RADgrowers

RADgrowers is located along an anabranch of the Murray River, on Wiradjuri Country 10 minutes west of Albury-Wodonga. We employ organic and ecological growing practices to grow Real And Delicious (RAD) produce for our local community.

Our market garden employs growing practices that focus on building soil health by using no till farming on permanent growing beds, organic composts, incorporation of cover cropping into our crop rotations and caring for the perennial hedge rows and grassy woodlands that encompass our farm, home to local fauna. Our farm aims to balance the needs of growing nutrient dense vegetables and herbs for our local community, while also enhancing the land we steward.

We grow over forty different varieties of vegetables and herbs for the farmers market, providing an abundance of fruiting vegetables and salad greens throughout the warmer months. As it cools down in Autumn through winter we grow mountains of frost-sweetened brassicas and root vegetables – seasonal eating at its finest.

We also steward a small flock of chickens who feast on the spoils of our garden. They also forage through the grassy woodlands of the river-flats. These pasture-raised lay-dies reward us with Real And Delicious eggs (RADeggs).
