Little Cedar – Farmhouse Goat Cheese
Located between Benalla and Wangaratta just off the Hume Freeway, Little Cedar farm is easily accessible by customers driving through, and is well placed to service North East Victoria with some of the finest goat cheese in the region.
Our young family left behind a mining career in 2020 to settle on the 70-acre farm where we have our small herd of 24 lactating goats. They provide the milk to produce up to 2,000kg of clean, tasty goat cheese. We milk the goats, make the delicate cheese by hand at our farm, and sell the cheese mostly at local markets and at our farm gate.
There are seven products to delight (nearly) everyone’s taste buds – from gooey wrinkly-rind cheese to a silver-medal winning dessert cheese that is unique to Little Cedar. Our main driver is to produce chemical-free, wholesome, fine-tasting products. We do this by using natural farming methods including regenerative practices, and focusing on high-quality, small-batch cheese production.
