Our market has been operating since June 2002, originally at the Gateway Village, Lincoln Causeway, Wodonga. We are very proud that the person you buy from is either the farmer or the person who makes the value added produce.

Bio:
My parents planted our avocado trees approx 18 yrs ago. After they both left us I decided to continue the family legacy and look after the farm for the family. We have approx 100 trees with four varieties of avos. Hass, fuerte, bacon and zutano. We are just a small family operation.
People experiencing poverty are missing out on the essentials — and too often, bills are prioritised over food.
During Anti-Poverty Week, we’re drawing attention to the realities of hunger, homelessness risk, and poor health affecting people in our community.
💔 In our region:
Around 35,000 households in Albury-Wodonga face food insecurity.
100,000 homes across the wider region are food insecure — meaning they are:
- Reducing portion sizes
- Skipping meals
- Going days without food
- or constantly worrying about when they’ll next eat
With so many struggling to put food on the table, not-for-profits like FoodShare rely on community support and funding to help meet this growing need.
